Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds - Being Inspired And Saying Thank You Mina Fung!

Episode Summary

When we have the chance to thank someone who inspired us, take it!

Episode Notes

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

Earlier this week my friend and podcasting colleague Mina Fung commented on her practice of intermittent fasting and the discipline it took to show up every Tuesday and Friday to carry out the fast.

Her post inspired me to research the benefits of intermittent fasting to lose the Whidbey 12. I’m walking miles a day, every day, changing up the lifestyle, but it’s not quite enough to get me where I want to be.

So, come Tuesday and Friday I’m showing up for 24 hour intermittent fasting. I’ll give it a few weeks to see how it goes.

We may never know how we have inspired or motivated someone. And someone may never know how they inspired or motivated us. But! If we do know and have the chance to say “thank you!” then let’s do that. I want to give a shout out to Mina for the call to action she probably had no idea she was inspiring in me.

Question: Who recently inspired or motivated you? What happened? And, how would you like to thank them?
