Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds: Choices and Childhood.

Episode Summary

How often have you felt you might make the wrong choice? As children we didn't have that fear. Time for a do-over!

Episode Notes

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

How often has this happened to you? “I can’t decide. I’m afraid I’ll make the wrong choice.”

When did we make decisions without fear? My friend and colleague Brandi Heather of Amped2Play says it all began when we played as children. Think about it: Do I ride my bike down the hill with no hands? Invite the new kid on the playground to join our game? Jump into the deep end of the swimming pool on a dare? Or a million other chances we took when we played as children. You know them. You took them. We just did it.

What about fear of wrong choice, or what might happen or, [fill in the blank]? No fear. We just did it.

And (!), along the way we learned what works, what doesn’t, how to trust ourselves and others, consequences of actions, life-changing insights, and more.

Question: How will you express your freedom of choice today? Move toward the element where you belong.
