Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds: Drop the Judgment and Know Calm Because You're Enough and Okay.

Episode Summary

When we put ego in its place we can feel calm and free.

Episode Notes

Hello to you in Belfast, Maine!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

Perhaps like me you have occasions where you judge yourself for what you haven't yet accomplished. It’s a normal function of the ego to judge by holding up a mirror to reflect where we might be falling short; but the ego is only a small part of us.

What I am saying is that ego’s judgment can be like finding fault with a caterpillar that can’t fly - yet. You have done great things; you will do more wonderful things! And like the caterpillar who becomes a butterfly you will soar.

Practical Tip: For right now just exhale, look around, consider how today might feel*if* you pressed the Pause button, the Stop button, the Delete button. Go ahead, press it. I dare you to feel calm, peace, freedom, knowing that you are enough and okay.

This is the place to thrive together.
