60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday: Acknowledge Your Priorities and Change Your Perspective.

Episode Summary

As you set out in the week ahead how does acknowledging your priorities shift your perspective for better?

Episode Notes

Hello to you listening in Toyohashi, Japan!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday.

Walking the Camino de Santiago I learned to change my perspective for the better once I acknowledged my priorities. Some days my priority was to intentionally harmonize my head, heart and feet so I could walk stronger, more at ease, less focused on what hurt. Other days I realized that as long as I was relatively warm and dry with some food and water in my pack I had what I needed to walk another 10 miles, resilient, forward looking.

Here’s my take-away: once I know what my priorities are and acknowledge them, I’m prepared to shift my perspective for the better to meet the challenges ahead. It’s a simple lesson although not always easy to shift your perspective for the better. It takes practice. What’s encouraging about practice is that you can’t fail. You just keep on practicing and get better.

Question: As you set out into the week ahead, what are your priorities? How does your answer shift your perspective?
