Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds For Story Prompt Friday: It's Your Turn. Take It!

Episode Summary

No more ignoring your natural talents and gifts. It's your turn. Take it!

Episode Notes

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday with questions carefully chosen to help you collect stories in the oral tradition or spark your own writing. Either way, you'll say, "Thanks for the memories."

I can tell when I’m fighting against my natural gifts, ignoring what I was sent here to do. The knocks at the door get louder, the smacks upside the head get more frequent, and the soft whisper that is Truth becomes very noticeable.

Maybe this happens to you, too: fighting against or ignoring your natural gifts. Maybe you think it will be too hard or you disregard how important your work really is.

Did you know that stories of success often start the same way? Ignoring the call of one’s inborn talents, standing in their own way, politely waiting their turn. Until the story that wants to be told overcomes the resistance.

Story Prompt: Know this: It’s your turn. Take it! Write that story.

Practical Tip: If you wish share your story with someone or something: your journal, your animal companion, the trees in the woods, your loved one, colleagues, master mind group. All that matters is you step, take your turn, tell the story of your own natural talents.

This is the place to thrive together. Come for the stories - stay for the magic.  Speaking of magic, would you share a nice rating/review on Apple Podcasts and when you come back bring your friends and rellies.
