Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday: Meals and Memories.

Episode Summary

Of the many meals you've shared with others which stand out, and why?

Episode Notes

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday with questions carefully chosen to help you collect stories in the oral tradition or spark your own writing. Either way, you'll say, "Thanks for the memories."

My dad loved his food. He wasn’t a glutton. No! Rather a life long appreciator of good food. He used to say, “Diane, there are two kinds of people in the world: Those who eat to live and those who live to eat.” I knew which side I was on.

Holidays in our Polish family were - and still are -  invested in cooking the old recipes. My memories gather together the smells and tastes along with traditions, faces, songs, and places as if it all happened yesterday.

Story Prompt: Think about the meals you’ve shared with others. Which ones stand out and  why? Write that story!

Practical Tip: The magic of stories is also in the sharing. If you wish please share your story with someone or something.   All that matters is you have the memories and create the story.

This is the place to thrive together. Come for the stories - stay for the magic.  Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, share a nice shout out on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time!
