60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday: Nature's Mighty Whispers.

Episode Summary

As Walter Russell writes, "Seek to be alone much to commune with Nature and be thus inspired by her mighty whisperings within your consciousness. "

Episode Notes

Hello to you in Saint Albans, Vermont, the Maple Syrup Capital of the World!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday with questions carefully chosen to help you collect stories in the oral tradition or spark your own writing. Either way, you'll say, "Thanks for the memories."

In the absolute depths of winter I’ve gone cross-country skiing through maple syrup groves and there is no place quite so silent. This tranquil memory is for those times when I can’t shut out the noise and must create my own silence by returning to nature and be there. One of the world’s great mysteries is how nature is our quiet symbol of silent impossible beauty.

As Walter Russell reminds us: “Seek to be alone much to commune with Nature and be thus inspired by her mighty whisperings within your consciousness. Nature is a most jealous god, for she will not whisper her inspiring revelations to you unless you are absolutely alone with her.”

Story Prompt: What inspiring revelations has Nature whispered to you? Write that story!

Practical Tip: The magic of stories is also in the sharing. If you wish share your story with someone or something.   All that matters is you have a story.
