Episode Notes

Hello to you listening in Kilmarnock, Scotland

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday with questions carefully chosen to help you collect stories in the oral tradition or spark your own writing. Either way, you'll say, "Thanks for the memories."

If you’ve read the Episode Notes for my podcast, Stories From Women Who Walk - of which these daily 60 Seconds are a key component - you’ll recognize my business name and website: Quarter Moon Story Arts.

Where did 'Quarter Moon' come from? It came from a line in a favorite song by Kathy Mattea [Quarter Moon], “Quarter moon’s better than none when you travel the night road.” A quarter moon adds a glimmer of light to an otherwise dark night especially if you’re lost. As a story strategy guide I help leaders see their communication challenges more clearly than they might be able to do alone. Together we arrive at an elegant solution because every problem has one. All it takes is someone walking with you in the light of a quarter moon.

Story Prompt: Think about a time when a glimmer of light revealed a solution to you. Begin your story this way: "Make of it what you will, but one night under the light of the quarter moon...." Write that story!

Practical Tip: The magic of stories is also in the sharing. If you wish share your story with someone or something.   All that matters is you have a story.

This is the place to thrive together. Come for the stories - stay for the magic. Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, follow, share a nice shout out on your social media or podcast channel of choice, including Android, and join us next time!
