Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday: Unexpected Gift Just in Time!

Episode Summary

When did a gift turn out to be just what you needed?

Episode Notes

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday with questions carefully chosen to help you collect stories in the oral tradition or spark your own writing. Either way, you'll say, "Thanks for the memories."

My dear friend Tracy is a former OR nurse and accountant. I guess that accounts for her love of numbers. Tracy knows I’m on a quest to lose the COVID 15 (pounds). I believe I can check progress by the “Loose Jeans” method; Tracy believes I’m fooling myself.

On the first day of Spring I came home to find a wrapped box at my front door. A digital scale. With numbers one could read from space. Huh! We don’t need no stinkin’ scale!

It sat on the floor of my closet until one morning I caved and you can imagine what happened next. Seems I’ve got work to do! By the numbers this time.

Story Prompt: When has an unexpected and rather questionable gift turned out to be just what you needed? Share that story!

Practical Tip: The magic of stories is also in the sharing. If you wish share your story with someone or something.   All that matters is you have a story.
