60 Seconds for Thoughts on Thursday: 365 Days of Small Steps - A Practical Tip For Living Well

Episode Summary

All those small steps add up to a life well lived if we keep track of them.

Episode Notes

Hello to you in Albany Creek , Australia!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

Maybe like me you keep track of the footsteps of your life. I’ve been practicing 365 Days of Small Steps every year since October 1st 2011 when my nephew, Brandon was married and I was unable to make the cross-country trip to celebrate with the rest of the family. I agreed with myself that I would take 1 small step every single day. For a decade now I’ve been creating my own way of knowing my own way. I begin Volume 11 in the morning.

Practical Tip: You might wish to create a document with the heading: 365 Days of Small Steps. Each day make an entry that is yours and yours alone. When feeling lost dip back into your pages and believe how far you’ve come. Before the year turns, take time to sit with your pages and fully relish how you allowed yourself to live all those small steps to now.
