Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds for Time Out Tuesday: Give Your Eyes a Rest and Gratitude.

Episode Summary

Take a moment to close your eyes and thank them with deep appreciation for all they do for you.

Episode Notes

Hello to you in Ajax, Ontario, Canada

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

For just a moment close your eyes. Give them a rest. Thank them for everything they do every day.

Your eyes read faces, computer screens, directions on a page, a recipe, music notes, your cell phone, the roads you travel in your car. Your eyes reflect the sun and the moon and the stars. They read faces of loved ones, animal companions, strangers, and colleagues. Your eyes tell you when it is okay and when it is not. They show you the way in and the way out, the wonders of nature, how to navigate from here to there, sort the socks in the dryer, and take care of what needs taking care of.

All this and so much more your eyes do for you. Right now thank your eyes with deep appreciation. And if you can no longer rely on your eyes for sight, what senses bring sight to you? Thank those.
