Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds for Time Out Tuesday: What is the Best Use of Today?

Episode Summary

How will you make best use of this very short day of your precious human birth?

Episode Notes

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

I’m getting a little long in the tooth. Don’t quite know when it happened but it certainly did. I’m aware that death is certain, but the time of death is uncertain. So, how should I be living now?

I’m getting older and I have no clue how much time is left to fulfill the potential of my precious human birth. Some nights before bed I wonder where did the day go? What did I do? What do I have to show for these hours? Maybe this happens to you.

Practical Tip: Stop and ask yourself: What is the best use of this very short day in my life? Take 3 deep breaths to create a still space, slow the worrying, the mind chatter, and sit quietly. Silence will dawn on you with all its magic and sacredness. In that stillness you will have your answer.

This is the place to thrive together.
