A month ago cancer visited the Island and took away one of my cats. The condolences I treasure most are those that arrived in hand-written sympathy notes.  

You might be seeing this yourself: fewer e-mails and more hand-written notes. Studies show that the COVID era shifted how we communicate with each other. Strikingly, we’ve taken to hand-written notes for personal and business correspondence.

An e-mail or text is okay so far as they go; but increasingly we’ve learned that nothing counts quite like a hand-written note for making a personal and memorable impression.
