Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds Is Better Than No Seconds

Episode Summary

Whose manifesto are you following anyway? Where and how is your own moral revolution?

Episode Notes

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

I’ve been reading Manifesto For a Moral Revolution. It’s a worthy book full of notable examples of folks who brought light and water and micro-banking to villages halfway around the world.

But, what if that’s not you? What if that’s not your purpose? What if you have moral revolution opportunities somehow smaller and closer to home?

Hear me: I am not saying don’t strive or reach or imagine. No! Not at all. I am saying pay attention to the worth and value of where you are right now, what you have to offer right now, how and to whom you are being of use right now. Someone you may never meet could read your words, listen to your podcast and go off to clean up a river, remake a political system, ensure education for all. Imagine that!
