Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds: Living Is How We Survived.

Episode Summary

Living is how we survived these times.

Episode Notes

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

What is it like to live in these wild and crazy days? We humans are responding with courage, imagination, and invention to the harsh realities of our day. I wonder what future generations will think. Maybe they’ll say, “How did they survive in such a desperately challenging environment?”

We chose to live:  “Death plucks my ear & says, ‘Live! I am coming’.” [Virgil]

We chose life over death:  “You may ask what I think about death, said Confucius, but if you still don't understand life, why do you want to know about death? Leave thinking about death for when life is over.”

We chose all the good lessons from our ancestors to show future generations how they can learn from us.

That is how we survived!
