Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds: My Client Is Not the Hero of the Story.

Episode Summary

What if your client was the very centerpiece of your marketing strategy and her story!

Episode Notes

Hello to you in San Juan Capistrano, California !

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

You’ve probably heard that your client should be the heroine of your marketing story. I disagree. Typically, the heroine in a story overcomes enemies and obstacles with the help of allies and wins something she covets. It’s a nice strategy; but it’s boring. How about coming up with another idea?

Perhaps your client could be the centerpiece of your marketing strategy and their story. Why? A centerpiece is intended to be the focus of attention. The client is the reason everything takes place as it does. My client is of central importance in my conscious marketing strategy as well as in the story we tell that reflects their success when we worked together.

Question: How can you describe the focus of your business and what you offer clients  in a way that’s unique to you?

This is the place to thrive together. Come for the stories - stay for the magic.
