Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds: Our Life As A River.

Episode Summary

How is your life like a river? Who do you thank?

Episode Notes

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

They say that we can never go home again. I’ve always wondered about that and over the years have come to understand that we are like rivers. “No river can return to its source, yet all rivers must have a beginning.

Your river had a beginning. Maybe it was a good beginning, or a rocky beginning, or a slow and trickling beginning. But you began. And, over time the river that is you changed course because of people you encountered.

3 Questions:

  1. Who showed you amazing kindness or forgiveness.
  2. Who changed the course of your life.
  3. Who gave you courage to do something difficult

And, if you can, reach out and thank them.
