Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds: Pilgrim, There Is No Path.

Episode Summary

I see my pilgrim self in the cover art as if it was yesterday.

Episode Notes

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

Today is the Anniversary of the single-most defining episode of my life.

I say my life is "BC and AC: Before Camino and After Camino." Some years ago I landed in Madrid Airport, made my way by train to Pamplona, and then by bus to St. Jean Pied de Port, France to begin a 500 mile walk across Spain on the Camino de Santiago de Compostella

I became a pilgrim and have never looked back. What happened to the path?

"Pilgrim, there is no path

The path is made by walking

By walking you make the path

And only when you look back

Will you see the path

that will never be trod again.

Pilgrim, there is no path

Only waves upon the sea."    [~ Antonio Machado; Caminante no hay Camino]
