Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds: Screaming In the 20 Mile Zone!

Episode Summary

Sometimes all we got is screaming in the car!

Episode Notes

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

My dad loved ice cream. I remember him carrying the half gallon carton to the dinner table singing: “I scream. You scream. We all scream for ice cream.”

We scream for our team, for our achievements and failures. We scream into our pillows and into the night.

But I bet you didn’t know there’s a song - about screaming - in your car - by Dory Previn. It’s all the permission I need to let it out.

Here’s a tip: Click to listen to Twenty Mile Zone and enjoy a little or a lot of screaming release. [Twenty Mile Zone by Dory Previn (On My Way to Where - 1970)]
