Seemingly forever we’ve been chasing that elusive question: What is the meaning of life? The answer can take many shapes and forms depending on who you ask. Maybe, like Charlie Brown said, it’s the happiness of a warm puppy. Or, like my dad said, napping by the side of a New Hampshire lake of a sunny summer afternoon. Perhaps it’s even deeper than a New Hampshire lake, existential even.
In any event you don’t have to answer the question. I’m a story artist and I’ll answer it for you. The very meaning of life is this: Something to do and Someone to love and Something to hope for.
Don’t just take my word for it. Try it on and see for yourself. Once we allow a meaningful Life to grab us with both hands why would we ever settle for anything less?
