Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds: Wednesdays on Whidbey: I'm the Joe for You!

Episode Summary

If you want to communicate with creativity and clarity, would like to work with a communication project guide who knows how to help you confidently identify, shape and convey your story or message, I’m the Joe for you.

Episode Notes

Hello to you in Irakleion, Crete, Greece!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

Here on the island we have gardens of every size blooming with gorgeous fruits, vegetables and flowers. We also have a very large population of black-tailed deer. So the prudent gardener puts up a fence. What’s inside the fence is for the gardener and what’s outside the fence is for the deer.

How is this like distinguishing your service or product from the other person? It’s the same. You may help guide clients who wish to communicate with creativity and clarity. But so does Joe. Now, what’s different about you, what you offer, to whom you offer it, and how? What distinguishes you from Joe? And all the other Joes out there? Once you can articulate that, put up your fence. Inside the fence is you and your service. Outside the fence is everybody else.

And if you’d like to work with a communication project guide who knows how to help you confidently identify, shape and convey your story or message, I’m the Joe for you.
