Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds: What If Hope Is Like This?

Episode Summary

What if hope, like music, is always here? We just need to look for it.

Episode Notes

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

Have you ever wondered where music goes when it stops playing? Maybe it never stops; maybe we stop listening.

What if Hope is like that? What if Hope is always there but we don’t recognize it?

I have an idea:

Imagine that Hope is a fragrance. What would Hope smell like?

What if Hope was a sound? How might Hope be heard?

Could Hope be a color? Of course! What color would Hope be?

Imagine that Hope is a sensation. What would Hope feel like?

And, if we could see Hope, what would Hope look like?

This is what I see in 2021: Each of us begins anew to discover Hope in all its many forms. Is it possible? Yes. How do I know? Because what you’re looking for is looking for you. And that includes Hope.
