QMSA has a backstory. What's yours?

Episode Notes

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

People have asked me, “Where did the name Quarter Moon Story Arts come from?”  It started with long afternoons gazing at the water of Honeymoon Bay and letting my mind drift along with the waves and salt air in dune grass.

A tune kept playing in my head: Quarter Moon by Kathy Mattea.

Quarter moon better than none when you travel the night road.”  What’s it like to travel that night road? When you’re traveling that night road what stories are you running from or toward? How does the quarter moon illuminate just enough road?

Quarter moon better than none when you carry a light load.”  An untold story is a burden, not a light load. I can be of use to you by listening out your story. I can help you translate images into action by showing you that “Words without poetry lack passion; Words without passion lack persuasion; Words without persuasion lack power.”

That’s the back story for Quarter Moon Story Arts.
