Stories From Women Who Walk

60 Seconds: What's Your Viable Moral Revolution?

Episode Summary

When we engage with our own purpose we engage our own viable moral revolution.

Episode Notes

Hello to you in Eagle Butte, South Dakota!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.

I’ve been reading Manifesto For a Moral Revolution. It’s a worthy book full of notable examples of folks who brought light and water and micro-banking to villages halfway around the world.

But, what if that’s not you? What if that’s not your purpose? What if you have moral revolution opportunities somehow smaller and closer to home?

Hear me: I’m not saying don’t strive or reach or imagine. No! Not at all! I am saying pay attention to the worth and value of where you are right now, what you offer right now, how and to whom you are being of use right now. Someone you may never meet could listen to your podcast, read your blog post, your essay, your book, and go off to clean up a river, remake a political system, ensure education for all. And more.

Practical Tip: When we engage with our own purpose we engage our own viable moral revolution. Imagine that!
