Episode Notes

This 30 minute conversation between two women walking their lives is a little rough technically speaking; but it is important to me and my listeners to capture the camaraderie, content and interchange even if a sound studio engineer would have applied more editing. What do I mean? Mina’s true gift is getting you to jump into the deep end of the pool. The water may be cold, you may not have a pool noodle; but trust her - she will get you to swim well. Due to a schedule conflict I was fully UNprepared to talk with Mina and yet she said: "Let’s do it!" We did. And I am so grateful I jumped in.

1:00 to 14:00: Security and change:

Money may rivet many of us in place. But we may pay a price with our health, our values. When Mina comes face-to-face with this awareness she connects with the determination to go forward even though it will change her life, and her husband’s life, in profound ways. Mina was actually willing to “walk on alone no matter what.” It was the first time she felt freedom! She saw her life as a cage and broke out of the cage. Liberating and scary.

14:01 to 18:00: Challenges and rewards:

18:00 to 26:00: Her clients, her practice and tips:

3 Take-aways:

  1. Don’t leave your day job while planning parallel exit, keeping income and test options;
  2. One things leads to another and at the worst you become a better human being; and
  3. Learn the numbers, your finances, your business options and choices.

26:00 to 32:00: Adventures:

Skiing: helped overcome fear of heights which is a metaphor: move forward and have fun!

Windsurfing: as a beginner was afraid to fall but to learn fast you have to fall and often. Dare to fall every day! Where did I fall? What did I learn? How do I celebrate?

About Mina Fung:

Mina Fung, founder of Pull Impact (providing mentoring and coaching services) and co-founder of WIFA Global is also the podcast host of 10X Vision. Her big “Why?” for anything she does now is to inspire others to seek change and take action to create a life worth living and build a business worth growing.

Mina started her entrepreneurial journey as an art dealer after working in the corporate finance/tech space for over a decade. Ironically, her art business didn't flourish as expected because "follow your passion" was poor advice; but like all good stories that experience led Mina to meeting the people who would ask her to help them to discover the change they were seeking in their lives.
